Old buildings and old traditions

With only a few days left in Heidelberg, I can't believe that the summer school program is almost over. Our three weeks here have gone by so fast. I've had a lot of fun with all of the excursions to different German companies and the trips to Munich and Strasbourg, but most of all I really just enjoyed being in Germany and experiencing day-to-day life here. Sure there are some things that I miss about the US, and there are some parts of the German culture that are quite different, but the overall experience of living in a new place and adapting to that culture is very exciting. One of my favorite things was taking the walk up to the Heidelberger Schloss and seeing the great views of the city that it has to offer. Being from America, where the oldest buildings are at most 300 years old, it was really amazing to see the architecture and how well it has been preserved. Thanks to everyone for making our time here in Heidelberg a great one!
